Each course in the GRI program is structured to offer the best educational opportunities to all students. However, it is recognized that there may be those individuals who feel their real estate experience, background and knowledge is comparable to the material covered in Module 100 (Business Planning) and/or Module 101 (Business Development). Therefore, the option of choosing an alternative class is available if you meet the following criteria:

• GRI candidates must have a minimum of three years in real estate OR
  a production of 36 closed transaction sides (transactions must be recorded).
• The alternatives for GRI candidates who have met the stated criteria are as follows:

  a) in lieu of module 100, candidates must select either a one- or two-day 300 series elective module, in addition to the required two elective modules
  b) in lieu of module 101, candidates must select two-days of the 300 series elective modules, in addition to the required two elective modules (this can be two one-day elective modules or one two-day elective module: i.e., module 314)

Additional Information:

• Candidates must have met the above criteria prior to attending the class (if criteria is not met prior to submitting the form, approval will be contingent upon the criteria being met and proof submitted to AAR).
• Request for course alternative must be approved PRIOR to taking the class(es).
• The three years in real estate applies to when you obtained your real estate license, not when you became a REALTOR®. If you have pre-registered for a GRI 100/101 and realize now that you would prefer to do an alternative class, you must contact the provider (association) offering the class regarding their cancellation policy and their policy regarding transfer of registration money.
• Transaction Log form must be attached to this request form.
